Voice Actor Casting Call!

Standing Sun is looking for voice actors for its animated short Sir Magnus and the Dragon! We need several male and female voices, listed below. To submit your audition, download a copy of the sides and record the character's lines. Email your recording (.mp3 format), headshot and resume to Contact@StandingSun.com (subject "Sir Magnus Audition") by April 30th! You will receive a confirmation email when we receive your audition. If you are cast, you will be notified by May 8th with more details.

CHARACTERS
SIR MAGNUS AVOIRDUPOIS: Late 50’s - Early 60’s. An elderly knight that would rather read by the fire than engage in knightly acts of valor.
SUMMERMIR: A dragon that has begun demanding a weekly tribute of maidens from the village of Barleyceaster.
LADY ARDELIA: Mid-late 40’s. Sir Magnus' vain and shrewish wife of extravagant tastes, who constantly bemoans her lack of fortune and belittles her husband because of it.
KING FIOPRECHT: Mid 30’s. The king, and Sir Magnus' liege lord. He sends Sir Magnus to slay the dragon Summermir.
DEBAJO ARTIUS: Late 20’s to late 30’s. A mysterious, cunning Spaniard that Sir Magnus meets on his way to Barleyceaster. He claims to be a sorcerer, and wants to help Sir Magnus slay the dragon.
THE YOUTH: Late teens. A young man Sir Magnus meets on his journey, bewailing the impending loss of his love to the dragon.
THE MAIDEN: Mid-late teens. A maiden Sir Magnus meets that's to be the dragon's next meal.

Audition sides can be downloaded at http://www.standingsun.com/dragon/auditions.htm. Actors must have access to high-quality recording facilities in their area and be able to send lines via email. Auditions for multiple characters are encouraged. Cast will receive credit, copy of the DVD, and a character-themed t-shirt of their choice.

As you can see, there's one very important role missing from the lineup: The dragon, Summermir! We are still looking for a voice actor to portray the maiden-hungry dragon, and will be extending the audition deadline to May 31.
